Join us for an immersive experience of what it will be like to be a Shade Canyon School student. Experienced Waldorf teacher and administrator Jane Johansen will guide us through real, hands-on Waldorf class lessons and discuss how Public Waldorf education cultivates deep understanding and love of learning in students, as well as preparing them to meet the challenges of the modern world. If you are considering enrolling your child in Shade Canyon for 2023, this meeting is a wonderful way to get a close-up look at what your child will receive through our school’s innovative and holistic curriculum. This is an adults-only event.

About the Speaker: During her more than 30 years in education, Jane Johansen has been a school director, teacher, counselor, and resource specialist at both private Waldorf and public schools, including being the founding director at Stone Bridge, the Public Waldorf charter school in the Napa Valley, which opened in 2000. Jane has had an active private therapeutic practice for children with multiple learning, social, behavioral, and sensory integration challenges for the past 20 years. She has lectured widely in the U.S Australia, Mexico, and South Africa.

Jane lives in Marin County, CA, and is thrilled to help support the formation of Shade Canyon School as a board member.
